ASIA - The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host seven leading trade fairs in Asia in the next month, it has announced.The seven trade fairs, to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre between April 6 and 30, 2015, will provide tailor-made platforms for traders and suppliers from around the word to expand their business into new markets.
The events would also further boost trading between Hong Kong and the UAE, which has been growing steadily for the past few years.The seven trade fairs are: International Lighting Fair (Spring edition), Electronics Fair (Spring edition) & International ICT Expo, Houseware Fair & International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, and Gifts and Premium Fair & Printing and Packaging Fair.Regional director of Middle East and Africa for HKTDC, Perry Fung, said the seven trade fairs present tremendous opportunities for enterprises from the UAE.“The growing domestic market of the countries in the region is opening up new trading opportunities. Last year, buyers from the Middle East visiting HKTDC fairs reached 2,500. In 2014, Hong Kong’s total exports from the UAE went up by 25.4 per cent year on year to US$6.2 billion.”

The main objectives of Emico’s sponsorship are as follows:
1. To support Penang State Government in organizing the world-class marathon event;
2. To promote Penang tourism;
3. To promote sports and healthy lifestyle especially among the youngsters.
The design of the medal is created by Emico with close supervision by APBIM committee members. The front of the medal shows pictographs of the new Penang Second Bridge (known as the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge) and runner, event name and date which is surrounded with Penang State color theme. The back of the medal shows Penang State emblem, APBIM logo, participating category, name of the title sponsor and Emico as the Medal Sponsor. The medals are of high quality finished and plated in nickel finished. Each medal is completed with ribbon inspired by Penang flag, consists of three vertical stripes of equal width in light blue, white and yellow. Three types of medals will be produced for distribution to different categories such as full marathon – 8,500 units, half marathon – 18,000 units and 10 km run - 26,000 units.
